What type of gloves you use? Looking for something where I can shoot and find the buttons on the ecollar. Nothing big and bulky. Need to keep hands warm too. Right now it is18 and a 18mph wind. Thanks

My EP did this at 8 months. She would lay down 75 feet from the bird. I was told she was confused and didn't know what I wanted. I was then told to put the birds away for awhile. I waited 2 months. Got her back on birds and no problem.viewtopic.php?f=89&t=37681. Good luck

I have my EP on a CC for 2 1/2 years. I am ready to advance to E collar. I guess I am asking what not to do. I hunted last year with a buddy that had a 9 month GSP. All he did was yell and push the button. I have come to far for that type of training. She is trained on whistle and comes on command. ...

Leash or check cord. Just let them drag it around and get use to it. That way when it go's some place you don't want it you can pull the leash or step on the cord and give a command. Good Luck

What I did is take a 2X2 about 6" long. Get some feathers and use plastic ties to hold them on. Then I took #6 finish nails and drove them in until about 1/4" of the head stuck out at random areas. You can start with nails first if you want. I kike to use goose feathers they are more durable. Good L...

I do not own a ecollar but from what I read on here it sounds simple. You are going to build a house. You have all the lumber sitting there. Now you have 2 tools a hand saw and skil saw. Both will cut the would you need. But the hand saw will take longer to get the house built

Teaching manners is great but keep up your program and you'll have a dog that hunts 15 feet in front of you. Bird dog training isn't about control, control, control. It's about gaining their cooperative independence at a range useful to you. Take your pup to a safe place where she can run and explo...

You have to make it fun. What are you using? this is pretty young for a pup to stay focus. I would use a paint roller covered in feathers get the pup excited over it then toss it about 10 foot out in short grass. Only do it 2 or 3 times at first then stop with the dog wanting more Good luck
