I called the MCD just last week asking about the QE areas & to quote both folks i talked with( numbers are way down ) one lady in the sw part of the state didnt even know if they still had quail.

Ft Campbell has quite a few wild birds when your pup is ready. There are several people in that area that raise quail also if that helps.

My grandaddy used the word meat dog ALOT.It was a dog that hunted anything & everything.Only one i remember that even looked like a bird dog was a pointer x running walker cross. They used them for everything most had feist ,mt curr or july hounds. That was a long time ago tho.

Partners work great as long as they're both realistic about the dogs real ability. I have had lots of partners on horses most work fine,if there becomes a problem one partner makes an offer & its buy or sell the animal & move on.
