I have never used a beeper collar but the solution appears to be very simple. Weight the collar and when the beeper is on the top, add enough of a lead weight on the bottom to keef it there. I'd try just enough to be a bit heavier than the beeper. Maybe enough to match the weight of the collar and ...

I've had trouble with the plug and/or the wire having an intermittent open. The wire gauge is pretty small so it won't take much abuse. I replaced it with a phono cable from radio shack that has the same type plug-in connector. So far I've repaired three out of four launchers.

Terrible summer for us, working on 30 straight days with actual temps above 100* with no relief in sight. Have no clue what the heat index is but it is brutal. Six states lakes have reports of blue/green algae, most ponds are over a foot low and loosing a 1/2" of elevation a day. Hard to even do any...

My mentor always said "throw away the short points, they're worthless" so I do. I just use the long ones. Never had issues with them not working. I hunt all short haired dogs. +1 on the long prongs.
