Oh I just bought a quad, momma was'nt real happy but my daughter loves it. I'll stick to hunt tests for now maybe get back into some walking trials this spring.

I am going to be in the asme boat as you when my male finishes his master. I checked into it and it is about 200.00 for the analysis and drawing I think 6 straws, and about 60.00 a year for storage, I am sure this will change and is regionally different. I hope that helps some

Jet maybe a little more tact in your explanation. Jason, Don't shoot any birds for him if he will not point them, and yes strong swirling winds can make it hard to scent birds. Half brother to Half sister has shown to work extremely well in some cases. Now saying that the dog being linebred on would have to be genetically clean or not passing any bad traits off. Remember along with all the good traits that you may get with that you intensify the bad traits as well.

1st Hunt test

I ran my first hunt test today with a pass for my first leg of junior, received 7's and 8's. With any luck Jack and I will pass tomorrow. Now I am looking forward to this coming spring more now to finish his junior and start and hopefully finish senior, woo hoo.

All of this being that the parents have some titles.

Just as cesarike has said often times the babies induce more venom, however if a baby copperhead would have bit her yuo should see some signs pretty quickly. I live in central IL. Just south of Bloomington, it's about 90 miles from Des Plaines. I wanted to go to the wire trial but I'm pouring concrete this weekend for my patio and sidewalk, that way I have a free hunting pass for the season from my wife..........ha ha.

Hunt Tests

Are hunt tests breed specific? I would guess they are not but was curious. My goal is to get a master on Jack and since many clubs use the Des Plaines ground for hunt tests it gives me a close venue with more runs. I know the weim club has a hunt test coming up in october thats why i am asking. :lol...

I like to BBQ & bake them as well and what you can do is gut em skin em and use bacon as their skin this keeps the meat moist and flavors it as well better than leaving skin on in my opinion.

I think Casper has a good idea lets do some recipes on here?

I just had the opportunity to visit with Bob at his kennel about 3 weeks ago. I believe you are correct he did breed brook to max and I believe 4 of the 5 out of that litter were fc's with marshall being a nfc.
a good firend of mine owned a dog out of that litter. Good stuff.

There were 5 in the litter, they are all nominated for the futurities, 3 of them will be trialing this fall, they have good attitudes I saw 3 of them this last weekend run including my dog, nice dogs power to the front great noses love the water, love people and other dogs should be very interesting...

Sorry still working on the picture. I got him from Dennis Brath of Cadens kennels. He is a frozen semen Windrows saddle tramp (cecil) bred to Jerry Paddocks ( Pepper) pepper dog. Buddy and Morticia. Very nice breeding, nice pups and had a great weekend up at Dennis' place in Wisconsin. Nice training...

Anyone hunt west of the missouri river? Have heard that it is less congested with hunters and the dogs really can stretch out. Looking at some info on S. Dakota it appears that the south eastern part of the state is the big bird areas?

I'm finding that out. Basically you are at the demand of what the owner of the bitch wants which is understandable. I have heard anywhere from 700.00 to 1000.00 or 500.00 and some pups.

I knew Jim and lived about 2 hours from him he ran a dog for me for awhile, he was a great man and had great dogs. He was a great asset to this sport in my opinion.
