Re: Problem with pigeon eggs
Thanks for the input guys. I got home early yesterday and had some scrap wood around so I built nesting box addition to the side of the loft. I put some hay in there and placed the egg in it. The male was in there with it yesterday afternoon. Didn't look this morning. Lucky Dog, I'm sure he's paired...

Re: Problem with pigeon eggs
I guess it could be 2 hens, I'm definitely no pro on pigeon sexing.
I came to the conclusion "it" was a male based on 3 things. It's much bigger than the other 2, it's aggressive, and it's constantly strutting around and cooing in the loft.

Problem with pigeon eggs
Hello, I've got 3 homers in a loft built from LCS plans http://www.lcsupply.com/Pigeon-Loft-Plans/productinfo/PLP/ 2 of them have paired up and the female has laid several eggs over the last few months (maybe 4?). She lays them in the middle of the loft, on the wire mesh and initially didn't seem to...

Here are 2 good resources for state laws and CCW reciprocity ... the interactive map is nice. Get your home state + non-res Utah and you can carry in most states...at least the ones that are gun friendly.

Here is a link to a 5-1. I could not find the exact one I have but this is very simular and they may not make the one I have anymore. This treats for most worms also. I think if you used this as your one and only med. your birds would stay pretty healthy. I am really into the health side of pigeons...

The KS DNR actually posts the GPS coordinates to all their WIHA areas. You can know nothing about the place and easily find all the WIHAs by plugging them into your GPS. The only catch is the GPS settings must be the same as the KS DNR settings. I called and one of the gamewardens walked me through ...

Look for low ground, water, palm fronds...ideally in the setting of adjacent food plots/crops (soft ground = worms). Always seemed to work for me. I have used one in the past to run my Pointer, had a nice trail ("Greenway") back in Charleston SC. Just out of curiosity, are there still huntable populations of bobs down in the Lowcountry? From what I've read, back in the old days there used to be so many birds they were a nuisance. I've heard that there are still some around on the big plantations, which I hope is true. It would be a shame if...
