I am currently at the AKC Gun Dog Championship. I arrived last Monday in the afternoon. I do not ride a horse so all that I have seen personally has been at the breakaways or small portions of the course as the brace makes a road transition from one side to the other and I have not seen all braces....

You can't go wrong with a Tri Tronic, but as others have said, buy as much range as you can afford. Whichever brand you choose, choose the ISO Standard chips. I personally chip with the AKC CAR chips. They're just slightly more expensive than the "bargain" chips.
