Whats known as a sterile preserved Saline Solution is a fine rinse for human and canine eyes. It can be purchased at the pharmacy or box stores. It's good for the cleansing of eyes after a run or whenever eye gunk appears.

Thanks Ezzy for the clarification. Why would anyone be proud of his dog being slipped in the back door of an organization in which trials it never competed. American Field's basic minimum standards for walking or horseback stakes would exclude Buddy. Fine dog that excelled in NSTRA competition only....

You guys might actually attend a traditional field trial some day and watch just how responsive those big going dogs can handle. NO e-collars or tracking devices allowed while competing. The term gyp or gyppy is an old time mid-south or southern term for a young female canine. Usually meaning a maiden or unbred animal. Southern houndsmen probably use the term more than most other dog folk.

Myer's Ruth was the blue hen I frequently heard of in my younger years was a black and white pointer bitch whelped in 1925, Huntingburg Indiana.
She produced 6 American Field Futurity Champions out of 5 differernt dogs.
