If the yellowing is caused by the dog having not shed his winter coat the Furminator is the answer for both long haired and shorthaired dogs. I'm with Highcotton. I cut sections of the peforated 3/4" livestock matting to fit the bottom of the Varikennels. If there are accidents this matting will keep the dogs out of it. Professional handler Ray Warren of Crofton KY runs the dog.
He was very close to winning the National Championship a couple of years ago with something like 9 finds and a strong finish at 3 hours.

I'll stake out sometimes. Be sure the stake head is flat and pounded all the way into the ground.

High lining (high picket) between and over the top of two trailers or between trees and or a trailer work beautifully.
