The simple answer is... Most puppy formulas are simply a performance type food with high protein and fat and slightly lower protein and fat for lg brd puppies. Actually Chicken By Products are better than Chicken Meal to the dog. If we stayed out of it, you would probably find the dogs would each much better than what we try to predict is better.

I always love it when I walk into a store and they usually ask. Does your food contain by products? like beeks feet and feathers. Most of the time I can find a form of by product they are selling in the store, especially feet.

Make sure your not feeding the horse any corn, wheat, soy or oats. I heard that will make a dog sick... Oh or any other grain. then the dog will eat it and be just fine.

There is no secret recipe that is going to make an unconditioned run like one in condition without risk. if your dog is ready for the hunt test it should be in hunt condition. Failure to be ready is a failure to prepare correctly.
