It is my understanding the irish were crossed with american field english setters to make reds.

I dont, thats the point. The ground here are much different than Germany or in the case of the Irish Setter Ireland or the Gordon Setter Scotland. We are all hunting North America so we need a dog that can cover the ground here.

I prefer the Dogs Unlimited bird bags. They seem a little more durable and I like havijg a snap to attach it to a saddle or doubling it over to hold smaller birds like quail in.

I think Brittany have the most of any breed.


When was the last time any dog has done both. Places in a National specialty and won a National Championship.

Difference between a 1hr vs 30 minute dog

Curious about the differences between a 30 minute trial dog and a 1 hour trial dog.

Let's try and keep it "even" and say both are shooting dogs and both are Horseback trial dogs. Specifically looking at the Shorthaired Pointers but I am sure this could relate to setters and pointers as well.
