I bought a Beretta 686 12 ga used for 500 bucks at a local dealer about 3 or 4 years ago.....been used hard but in good shape and shoots just fine....for me I swing a bit heavier gun better, however in the grouse woods a shorter barreled, lighter 20 would be nice..... Im looking at some 28 ga's........

One other thing If I was looking at Eastern dogs I would want one that has won mostly HB stakes. I may be wrong here but I have always heard a west coast gun dog is an east coast AA. Correct Vegas, and my mistake that is our AKC national I should have said the NGSPA national thats our AF Nat Ch.
But you get my point overall your championship stakes draw more entries than ours they generally cost more per entry

I would say there's far less pointer pups on the ground than gsp pups. On the west coast I would say its close to 10 to 1 . So I don't think that theory holds any weight honestly. IMHO it's alot of thought process......people think differently within different breeds, even within there own breed........so the question was why are the pointer FT litters cheaper than GSP Ft litters? Good looking dog, looks in good shape to me. Well defined muscle tone looks as if your trainer was working the dog as he should have been for your money. Are you happy with the results of the training? If so thank your trainer for a job well done. Again great looking dog.
