Re: North Dakota
Pheasants should be up again, that late in the year it will be tough to get on grouse as they are skiddish but you could end up finding some. You will need to wear orange during the deer hunting season. Depending on how far west you go pound the cattails that is where they will end up especially if ...

Buy it. I would like to have one but just do not shoot the smaller birds enough, I barely use my Benelli M1 20ga., I did almost buy a Franchi AL48 in 28 ga. last month for $600 but talked myself out of it.

These guys have pretty much hit all the easy available options. Franchi Affinity is a good gun, I picked up a Benelli M1 about 7 years ago from a guy that bought it new for 685 never fired it. I gave him 550. I see them now for 700 and up used. M2's are quite a bit more. The Montefeltro is a nice gu...

You could buy one of the small vents for a plastic gas can and use that for a vent. I bought 5 for $2 on eBay awhile ago.

Full bodies. I don't think the GHG shells stack like honkers because the sides curl down some. I have 3dz G&H shells and they do not look nearly as good as the full bodies I have. I don't have an issue with the feet staying on my B2's.

My dogs eat a lot of snow while hunting late in the season, often they won't drink any water after a long walk. 2 weeks ago i ran a beeper on my gordon in point only mode. Did it affect the birds, didnt seem to any more than my GSP they all seem to move and not hold very good right now. Re: Should a 13 week old GSP be trained well enough to be
I made the mistake of having my first dog leashed and in the fenced yard all the time, every time the kids left the gate open he would bolt. It was his demise as he was hit by a car at a year old. The next dog the fence was taken down and only had a leash on when training heel and come. She wouldn't...

TT is easy to get ahold of. I emailed them and asked a few questions and they told me to call in so they could check serial numbers to see if warranted. They answered right away. If you have a G2 or G3 receiver they are charging $75 to replace it.

I hunted my springer with my GSP who has always been solid on her points. My springer would come in and flush the bird which is nice if you are hunting pheasants because they are usually running away. However if my pointer was not solid on her points I would not hunt them together.

My previous springer was trained to sit on one bleep and come on 3. My setter and GSP just come when I whistle, there is nothing worse than someone yelling for their dog when out hunting. I was told today that until the first of the year you can get your non-working G2 transmitter replaced for $105 with a new G3 of the same model. Here is my two cents. I would buy a TT Pro 500 (18 levels of both stim.) if budget allows followed by the TT100 but the Field 90 has both continuous and momentary and can run the TT beeper collar also. The EXP is nice so you can add more dogs. The collars are all the same so if you wanted to upgrade...

Bring your hip boots, it is wet. There is water to the edge of the sloughs, the birds were running on the ice but the dogs broke through, probably won't be much different this weekend with the temps in the 30's. Corn is coming off though they said it is about 50% now.
