Beef Necks

So I have found a couple of packages of beef necks in the frezer from a steer my parents bought and I am pretty sure they won't use them. Will they if anything be detrimental to my dog? If anything they might be able to be used as a treat, I looked at them and seem to be all bone with a little meat ...

Re: Can't trust a Dog

In all honesty I am just fed up with the unrealistic idea that she is fine from them, she isn't fine, if they leave she will almost eat through anything to get out, they left her outside one day for a few hours and she tore up 5 pieces of siding and the corner post of the garage trying to get out of...

Re: Can't trust a Dog

The worst thing is they say, if she ever does anything we will put her down, its too late then. The biggest problem that is going to come is that we are neighbors so its not like we don't see them a lot. At least they have a fenced in yard, the way to there door means you have to walk through the fe...

Can't trust a Dog

Did want to hijack the other thread but here is the situation, my parents have a 4 yr old female boxer who is very unpredictable and attacks other dogs without warning and has attacked my male pup a couple of times. I pretty much keep my dog up when their dog is around, but I feel very uncomfortable...

I have an 8 month old DD and have been working him on wild birds and I started Gun Into this past weekend, how long does it take or does it depend on the dog? I will be looking for some food like that. I know I can get loyall locally at a feed store which is big, because we can't get much up here in the sticks. They have the professional in stock so I will probably try that out and see what happens.

Re: Skinny Dog

I do have one more question, when running him a lot which I hope to do soon, how much do I up the feed intake or would it maybe be better to switch to a higher protein/fat food. The food I am currently using is like 24/14.5 and would a food with say 26/19 be better or 30/20 or does it depend on the ...

mcbosco: 23 in at shoulders, around 45-47 lbs (don't know for sure) seems like under 50 though. Intact, also, his stools are great, they seem to be a bit loose if given 3 cups at one feeding so maybe I should split it up and give 1 in am and 2.5 in pm and see what that does. Going to show you my 8 month old DD, he seems skinny to me, he gets fed one time a day and gets 2.75 cups of Canidae ALS. Obviously, you probably can't tell much by looking at the pics. Try the brands you are thinking about using and let your dog tell you what works for them. They may do poorly on one food that you think is top notch but better on one you may not think is very good. Obviously, you will have your standards but take those criteria and find what your dog likes and doe...

Apparently it's for fleas, ticks & heartworm. But it's only available through a vet.

I am interested in this as well, my vet recommended it but I don't know anyone using it currently. Anyone around here using it?
