Been offline a long time, but member for years. My old GSP needs NOVOX and the now State Law says the Vet has to see the dog once a year to write a script. (wonder who pushed that thru?) The dog is 14 yrs, when she gets sick, we will put her down. I just want the remainder of her days to be comforta...

Re: update-canadae vs diamond natural

Not seeing Canadae in the feed store here. Recently switched to Diamond Naturals from Pro Plan. Not 100% set on Diamond, have an open mind. Even considering a 50-50 mix with Pro Plan.
What is the bag size/price on canadae. Pro Plan was just getting too darn expensive, even with the pro club checks.

I always think of selling cheap ($50-75) just to keep someone from taking a dog cause its free. If they pay something they are liable to really want the pup and put some effort into it.
Free isnt so good, IMHO unless you know the person real well.

I personally would stay away from this cross. As the other posters have stated, it could turn out ok but I would be very skeptical about that possibility. Where I live, whatever you live in has to be build same as your home. Even a minimum sq ft.
Too expensive to have a hunting "shack" around here.

I have owned one or two Shorthairs for 30+ years. I dont breed, or compete in field or show. I own a dog or two for companionship and to own a good hunting dog. When I buy a dog, I dont want a half breed pointer, 90lb horse, or a dog with a bad bite. I research a good breeder and pay a fair price. I...

Get a sock, fill it 3/4 full of uncooked rice. Heat it in the microwave. (careful it gets hot) but it stays warm for a long time. Pups like to snuggle with littermates, the warm sock seems to help. My GSP's have all been house dogs. At 12+ Ive noticed them having a hard time holding urine for more than 4 hrs. That usually gets worse along with arthritis and other issues. There comes a day, when too much of too many things just takes the quality of life away.. So every day past 12 is a bonus da...
