You could at least avoid breeding to a ee stud alot easier than a Ee. Which one is really worse? Nobody is going to complain about getting lemon colored pups out of a lemon colored dog. No one is going to waste a wad of cash and time on a breeding that turns out to be worthless.

I like to see a pup that is bold and independent with good conformation.

Your best chance to get a Stud quality pup is to keep all the males till they are a couple years old, then sell the others as started or finished dogs.

In my opinion a dog cannot be stylish without being efficient. Style is the cherry on top, but you don't need that cherry to eat your ice cream.

1. A good quality crate and a well built outdoor kennel run.

2. A good stiff checkcord, whistle, a couple bumpers, a dummy collar, and a starter pistol.

3. Then maybe a pigeon coop or johnny house, leather pinch collar, an e-collar, and a couple bird launchers.

That would be my priority list.

One of my males has gone over a cliff before. He got up like nothing happened. It wasn't a huge drop, but probably 20-30 feet.

There are many places we hunt where the drops can be a couple hundred feet onto boulders. A broke dog is much safer out there.

Multiple bird launchers is the answer. If you don't want your dog smelling the launchers then do some stop to flush work with the dog coming from upwind. If you shot your blank before you popped the launcher, you could actually get the dog to go into an intense point on gunfire.

What an impressive pup!

For chukar hunting I carry a old bicycle tube in my vest with some athletic tape. If my dogs feet start to get worn out I cut a piece of rubber off, fold it over the front of the paw, and tape it on. Works great and is cheap, don't have to worry about losing one.
