Lost a PP to bloat. It was very bad. Not only feeding before activity, but right after can be problematic. My dog was fed 1 hour after hunt and then bloated.

I've had 2 do the same thing. Send them back. If your in a rush to get them, they'll send you a new one...charge your card and then credit you back when they get your defective collar. They gave me 2 new collars, not rebuilds in the exchange (so they told me).

Get the dog's thyroid checked. Losing hair on the tail is a common early sign of hypothyroidism (low thyroid). Is the darkening of the skin just in that area? Yes...this is the only area effected. My 10 mnth old DD has a spot on his tail where he's lost hair. Any thoughts? Doesn't do enough kennel time to rub it off. Doesn't look like its getting worse or better in past week.

Had my pup out today hunting chukar. He tore one of his nails off. Nothing hanging at all.....broke off right at the toe. Read the above...cleaned with warm water....antiseptic soap....triple antibiotic ointment...wrapped and booted the foot. Should I worry about getting him on antibiotics right awa...
