When I have guided in the past I always put a price on my dogs. I tell all involved that if they shoot my dog that is what the hunt will cost them. we were using steel shot to. thats all i uses anymore since i hunt at the wetlands around here along with private ground. i hated switching shells all the time so i just started using steel all together.

i whoa broke my short hair using the ps/pf method that uses only a cc and choke chain. i will need the barrel for training to steady to wing and shot no matter what. and yea i checked and made sure she can touch the ground with out killing herself. i am going to try the ferrel miller common sense bird dog training dvd and it says that it uses all three. i got my whoa barrel done a little while ago not the best in the world but the total cost of everything was 4.50 and thats what the barrel cost me i had all the extra wood nails.

What holds me back from participating? The few walking trials I've been to have been "unfriendly" to newbies. Nobody offers to help you out in understanding what's going on. You don't know who to talk to, who to ask questions of.... etc. To combat this, I'd suggest that IF you really wanted newbies...

yea i am planning on going to a akc and nstra trial before i send her off or try and do it myself. i am running her in a AF trial on the 21st in the gun dog stakes that topher is putting on. if she runs big enough i might just stick with that but i doubt she will just if i could run her off of my 4 ...

she is really close to being whoa broke, will hold point until i get to her,handles, collar condition,here broke,kennel and load up, gun broke, can call her off of flushed birds.
