Re: scott kennels vs runs on concrete

I have five T. E. Scott kennels and several concrete kennels. I prefer the T. E. Scott kennel over the concrete. The dogs do fine on both the concrete and the Scott kennels, but with the Scott kennel there is less to clean, fewer parasites, dogs are cooler in the summer and no problems with the dogs...

Re: Help With Dog Food!

Arkat brand Hunter's Edge is a good choice if it is available in your area. It is a chicken meal based food with 24% protein and 18% fat. It usually sells for a little less than $20.00 for a 50 lb.bag.

Re: Scotts kenel floor question?

I have four of the Scott's kennels. I like the design very well, although I did modify the plans to make the dog house to make it larger and the kennel longer. The first three that I purchased were made with galvanized steel and have held up well. The last one purchased was powder coated steel and t...

I store my Ivomec in the refrigerator even though it is not required. I sit it out of the refrigerator for a few hours to reach room temperature before usage. It is easier for me to draw through the needle if it is at room temperature.

I have been free feeding for 20 plus years, currently have ten Llewellin setters and have never had an over weight dog. For the money, I like the Hunter's Edge as good or better than any food that I have ever tried.

Re: looking for good feed for my dogs

There are several good dog foods available. Depends on where you are located and what is available in your area as to which is best for you. I use Arkat Enhance Hunter's Edge formula. For the money, I feel that it is one of the better values in dog food. I pay $18.99 for a 50 lb. bag. Here is a link...

Re: Interceptor Heartworm Medication

I have found the liquid Safe-Guard Fenbendazole 10% solution in the 1000 ML bottle to be the best value if you are going to treat with fenbendazole. The dosage that I use is 22.7 mg of fenbendazole per pound of dog weight per day for three consecutive days. For a 60 lb. dog I give 13.62 ml of Safe-G...

I had found some info that pretty much backs up what you have posted. To take it one-step futher, I transferred the amount for a 500 lb. horse into a large syringe and it equaled 10 cc. The best I can tell, the dosage would be about 2 cc per 10lbs. of body weight.
