My dad thought sulfur and black oil was a cure for everything. Was probably not the best idea. I remember Filarabits. They were expensive and had to be given daily. Any of you remember what the dog world was like before Ivomec? Heart worm prevention was a daily chore and many good dogs put down because of demodex. I would hate to go back to those days.

The splinter is a very narrow short forearm just big enough to keep you hand from getting burned by hot bbls. The beavertail is much wider and actually wraps part-way around the bbls. Go to gunbroker.com and search for skb 100 and 200 and you will see the difference.

Depending on the time period you are talking about it could be one of the Ithaca's made by SKB. The model 100 is a sxs with splinter forarm and extractors. The model 200 is a sxs with beavertail forearm and ejectors. Both are excellent guns but are getting harder to find and going up in price. Follo...

I am not familiar with the man or the dogs but have noticed several in the OFA database with the Manlove prefix. If memory serves me right most of them had Bondhu in their registered names. That would lead me to believe they are recent (last 30-50 years) imports most likely from Europe.

I agree that heart plays a role in running in hot conditions. However running in the heat and finding birds in the heat are two different things.
