Mark I was running her on pigeons. It was a goodflyer. However, because of wanting to hide trap so that Patch could not see it I put it in heavy cover. The cover was dence and tall. Jaws of Death

I have a new young dog. So far she has only caught 2 birds. However, in both cases she has crushed the guts out of the birds. I am looking for any advice on how to break a dog of this prblem and convert her over to a softer mouth.

Just a stab at an answer. I believe you need a database of at least 10 generations of pedigree plus a special program that generates these numbers. Also if you have further generational depth information it leads to a more significantly reliable number.
