Re: to much importance put on pedigree?

I did lots of reading, books, GDF, etc. but I had the nagging question, what the heck would a field trial champ, dual champ, show champ, etc. mean in terms of finding/pointing birds for me to ...

Re: What do you use in your dog box?

I leave a light blanket in my britts crate for him to be comfortable at night, but it comes out when I use his crate to take him somewhere.

Re: Brit Spots

My britt also has some light brown "blotches" on his belly, but I don't know if all/most BS have these markings (this is my first). I looked on the AKC website but did not see anything regarding skin coloration under the breed standard.

Whata week...
Thanks for the input... I would prefer to pick up the pup myself, as I tend to think it would be harmful to the young pup. Then again, I've never shipped a puppy across the country before, so maybe its a little paranoia on my part .

Brittany Breeder Questions

I'm looking for a good Brittany breeder... any recommendations? I am wondering about Chiefs Brittany's and Tru Brittany's to name a couple. Dog will be used for hunting and perhaps for hunt tests if I can wing it. Mods - if posting about specific breeders is in violation of rules please delete or mo...

Do your dogs have targets on them or what? :D
I wonder... could you train your dogs to avoid skunks (I read
that dogs can be trained to avoid snakes... somehow).

Kudos from a new guy!

Hello everybody... I'm new to the board and live in San Diego. I found this site by accident and really enjoy how it is set up and the great tidbits that everybody shares! I do not have a dog as of yet, but am looking and Chessies and Brittanys (anybody out there hunt with them? Sorry Vislaguy! :lol...
