I can tell you about Grand River Wildlife Area . If you go early Thanksgiving morning and hunt near the roads and parking areas it can get wild with people not knowing how to be courteous. We have went day after and had good time with dogs.

1% Ivomec 1/10 per 10 lbs that would be about 1/2 cc for your dog. I use pour on type not injectable, but give it to your dog on food or squirt into mouth

Maybe that builder was on a time scheldue and wanted to get the trees out the fasest way. You could try to sell to a timber company and neogiate clean up as part of the deal or advertise a cut your own firewood plan where several people could cut either pay you a fee or do shares.

I would get a chain chock collar or one with the prongs. Have a knowledgable person show you how to put it on.If you put it on backwards it will not release properly. Then do regular obedience training.

Really no need to wet or smash it. Often you will see puppies eating out of mom's bowl during a feeding.I just feed puppies dry puppy food from the start.

I would think if you are not hunting to kill birds, then a poor population would not be important and the big factor is how much do you enjoy hunting in Kansas compared to a preserve.

Don't worry too much. Whatever commands you learn to use around the house and yard will transfer to the field. My personal thoughts are that a lot of people want to over handle and give too many commands in the field. Just let her hunt and if you need to get her attention use whatever you do at home.

depends on the quality of your pasture. If you have a small amount I suggest an electric fence to separate the field and rotate them, otherwise they will eat an area low and just keep grazing that area for fresh grass leaving the taller.

When you are looking at houses ask about zoning for horses. Sometimes it may look like you can keep horses but often there are certain requirements such as acreage and how property lines make may make horses too near neighbor. A two months of full care for two horses would pay for a simple run in sh...

I probably would walk to the dog ,fire and send him on. No need to fire from a distance. You could start going in his direction and just send him on if you were 100% sure he would not delay chase but I prefer not to do this.

Find yourself a NEF in 22 caliber and get some #2 Ramset loads. If you don't lose the gun, or the cylinder pin, you will be able to give it to your great grandson.

when you get out in the field try just standing in one place. She will soon get bored and start to wander off. Just follow her at a slow pace and when she comes back just stop ( no petting or praise ). Hopefully she will soon get the idea of being the leader then you can pick the route.

Re: Conformation, Endurance & Trial Misconceptions
A lot of dogs are picked up at Ames not because they couldn't finish in an acceptable manner but because the handler knows he does not have a winning performance and decides not to just keep a dog down for the total 3 hrs. Judges should appreciate this attitude.
