Speaking from my point of view only- Having progressed to my second truck trailer combination, one word of advice, buy the biggest truck and rigg you can, 'cause you're sure to out grow it before the payments are up. As someone said previously- my recollection as well, I think most of those old cowboy horses were of quarter horse lines, stocky, large fronts and rears, built for burst speed and agility amongst the longhorns.
