Pigeon coop and dogs in the same area?
I live in a neighborhood, so backyard space is limited, have any of you ever had your pigeon coop and dogs in the same yard? I did it once for a short time and kept the coop inside a chainlink kennel and let the dogs have run of the yard, I didn't notice any issues but it was only for a couple of mo...

I think Kansas sets their season late so the farmers can get their crops out of the field first. A couple of years ago we had a very wet fall and a lot of the WIHA property was posted "no trespassing" until the crops were harvested.

What breeder did you get it from? My brother has two, both from a breeder in Jersey (I think). One of his dogs is very timid, the other a nut case! I am not sure how easy they were to train, but the timid one does not have much range, but is very obedient, the other.....well she is still a pup :twis...

You should be able to get it at any farm implement store, such as IFA, Tractor Supply, Orshlens, etc... or the website of any of those stores. I am sure if you type it into Google, you will get quite a few options.

I have always had good luck by feeding right before dark, that way when you release them they will home before dark to get food. Take the birds and "push" them through the door a few times and then set them on the ledge and they should walk right in. I have had feral pigeons return to the coop after...

I like that later starting date for pheasant, should be cooler and the most of the crops should be harvested by then. This will be my second year trying for a prairie chicken, hopefully we can pull it off this season!

I am sure you pup will grow out of it, but until then you can try to take the pup on several short trips and try to get it used to traveling. I have also heard of people giving the pup Ginger Snap cookies, the ginger will help settle the stomach.
