Wear light pants and boots, good walking pair because that is what you will be doing most of all. Light cover about calf level or shorter is where you need to be. I have one and I like it. It's my understanding that when they first started selling them in the U.S. quality was an issue. like I said I like mine and people who have picked it up or shot it seemed to like it as well. I do not believe quality is an issue any more.

Got the call that Murphy's Cutting Edge "Rexx) placed third in the Open Gundog at GSPCA Nationals. Been a real good two weeks. Rex was handled in the open by Phil Mathiowetz of WindWalker Kennels.

It was the first time I'd been out there for that. It started slow but picked up by the last day. I would go back. Did not see many pheasants, I think they are in for bad year. One of the people said it was 60 % down. Another said more like 80%. I believe the 80.

Went out yesterday for 1st time. Was only on the ground for a couple of hours. Saw one covey of quail but did get into some pheasants, which I haven't seen on this property in several years. Alot of the area has been cut for hay. Also leaving for Kansas on Friday. Hopefully it will be better.
