Re: Opening Weekend Quail
Fine looking dogs ! I've never hunted around alll that cactus , I don't think our Georgia briars would be any match for that stuff .

Re: Dog is limping bad ?
Yeah he x-rayed everything . The Dr. said she only reacted when he flexed the shoulder and even that was to an extreme level . He almost acted like he didn't believe she was hurt .

Dog is limping bad ?
One of my girls has had a bad limp in the front right leg since the end of quail season . All the x-rays look good and no lessions were found and she showed very little reaction when the Dr. manipulated the joints . The problem is when I would let her out of the kennel in the evenings for a run she'...

Re: Has anyone used Bayer ?
I've just spoke with some folks that actually know and use the product and they believe it's a very safe and effective way to control fleas . It comes in a concentrate form and is applied with a dropper or syringe between the shoulders just like the other meds. I'm happy with the info I got and am a...

Re: Has anyone used Bayer ?
It's the same active ingrediant as Advantage just at a lower percentage and at a much lower cost . Advantage is a Bayer product(imidacloprid) marketed to pet owners .

Re: What breed has your dog been mistaken for?
I've got GSP's and most folks around here will just call them bird dogs but I did have one lady ask me if my girl dog Lilly was bluetick .

Has anyone used Bayer ?
Has anyone used the Bayer "tree and shrub insect control" for fleas on your dogs ? It's the same active ingrediant(imidacloprid) as one of the veterinary sold flea meds. Just wondering if anyone here has used it and if you had good results ?
Re: flordia
I live just across the state line in Ga about thirty miles due north of Tallahassee and WILL NOT put my dog in any of the lakes or rivers . I don't even take my GSP on the pontoon boat fishing anymore because of the gators .

False Estrus ?
I have a female GSP a little over a year old who went through her first heat cyle around the end of July . All of a sudden last week the males became very interested in her but one more than the others . She's not bleeding or swollen and really doesn't pay the male any attention even when he tries t...

New from SW Georgia
Just wanted to introduce myself . I'm a GSP man myself but love all gundogs . I from way down in South West Georgia(Cairo) and primarily a quail hunter but very interested in field trialing . This seems like a pretty cool place and I'm ready to get in on the conversation .
