Re: Raw Food Question
Once you go raw you will never go back! There are many benefits I've noticed since starting my dog on it two years ago, including: great health, great teeth, no farts, very small poops that disintegrate quickly, healthy weight, she doesn't drink much water (lower risk of gastric torsion), and she se...

Training plan advice / need grounds
I've got this little Vizsla I've had for a year and a half. Didn't buy her with hunting in mind, but all of a sudden at about 9 months the predator drive light switch came on, and that has me excited about making her in to a bird dog because she LOVES hunting. Whoa ho! She is totally squirrel crazy,...

I'm proud to own one because I know I got a good deal and it turns heads. Here is the link to the Shotgu...

Re: Yildiz Shotgun
I've got the ME Special 20 O/U. It has engraving and a little nicer wood over the regular ME. For under $600 out the door, the best value on any new gun anywhere. Service is actually a plus, there have been a few issues with firing pins going breaking but turnaround time is much faster with Briley t...

Re: Dogtra 2500 T&B anyone have one?
I've had one for about 6 months and love it, I've used it quite a bit. The beeper isn't as loud as other collars (maybe just because it points down?) but it is definitely loud enough for the hunting I do. The only thing that worries me is the rubber dust cap that protects the charger port often pops...

Re: Help with attachment
Also wanted to give a tip: If you want your dog to meet a stranger have that person sit down and act nonchalant, let your dog off the leash and let him be free to investigate the other person if he wants to. Same with kids, don't let the kids chase your dog around, have the kids sit down. A dog on a...

Re: Help with attachment
Sounds to me like the dog is submissive in the extreme, I'm pretty convinced this is the majority of your problem. The dog doesn't have issues with humans specifically, it is a result of his submissiveness, which (I'm theorizing here) could be a result of not enough early socialization with other do...

Re: Dog caught in trap
Wow, thanks for this thread. Never even knew these kinds of traps existed. Found this excellent link on how to release your dog from a conibear trap:
