Jimbo, Just my observations, but the smart dogs when HUNTING, seem to pace themselves at a comfortable 7-10 mph. They HAVE to, to last for an extended hunt. I've always heard that heel on the oposite side of the gun so it's out of the way of spent shells and noise is on the opposite side of the dog. That might be true for dogs in a blind but doesn't work for me in the field. What are you doing, flushing the bird then running back to the dog to shoot it...

So there are a lot of video's on youtube of "Single Footers" and "Speed Rackers" and I've watched quite a few, but what can you folks that really know "dog horses" tell me about them. From the video's, they are bad as he!!; looking to be extremely smooth, extremely fast and extremely fun.
