Big dave, I've seen it in the magazines but no one around here has it. Plus I'm sure it's $50 a bag. Don't mind spending money for good food but thats getting high I think.

I have a Sportdog 1850 and im using the shortest prong that came with it. Everytime I go hunting my dogs will get two bald spots on his neck where the collar prongs are. Am I putting it on to tight? He just started doing it, but he has also became more klingy about the sametime by wanting to sit in my lap. Also its normaly when my other Vizsla is sitting next to me.

My one year old Vizsla always keep putting his paw on me. I can be on the couch or in my chair and he will come up and put one paw on me. Seem one last year hunting in SE Iowa. Didn't know what it was so I didn't shoot it. The guy I was with told me it was a wood cock and that we couldnt shoot it. Only time I've seen one.

What I did was turm them on while they was in the house and hold my hand of the beeper so its not so loud. Then I put cotton over the beeper and duct tape. the pill is called Capro somthing used it earlier this year with my pup. Your pup also might just be cleaning up after its self, kinda like the mother would and thats why it wont eat the poop when out side.

Took my 8 month old Vizsla Copper out the other day. First time I was able to shoot bird over him. The weather this winter made training kinda of hard for me.

I was told by a guy that giving a raw egg a day will take care of my dogs dandruff and make his coat shine more, I was also told that dogs shouldn't eat eggs any input on this. Thanks

you also want to keep in mind if the collar you get is expandable or if you can use a beeper with it. I bought a collar and then a year later bought another dog and found out that it wasn't expandable. I just went a bought a new Sportdog 1850.

I have never heard of doing that, but I know that my mother had two labs and one died. The other lab for weeks acted sad and would go and lay in the trailer that they used to move the other lab with when they burried him.

The tape worked great. It never fazed him. Also the tape had a few hole poked in by the time we got done hunting. Next time I will cover half of it with tape, then take it all off.

Hatch Specialist ns430 is what I wear. been wearing the on the range and hunting. They also make two others the are insulated, I havent tried them but the next pair the I get will be. They are nepreon so your hands stay dry.

make sure that you close the crate all the way. I had someone come let me dogs out yeasterday for me while I was out shooping with the wife and he didn't get the crate closed all the way. The pup got out and ate a hole in our new carpet the size of a softball.

Does snow on the ground help or hurt scenting conditions. I always thought that it helped, but I was training my pup on sunday while it was snowing and a guy I was with said that it was harder on the pup.

I was upset when I put him in his kennel. He had been doing so good on potty training with no accidents for two days. The he had three in one day. After a lot of treats and puppy talk along with my other dog going in and out of his kennel things are back on track. Thanks for the advise.

I feed the trainer's blend in the off season, then I switch to the black bag during hunting season. I've been using it for about a year now and seem to be good. I had alot of guys around here tell me the feed it and have had good luck.
