That’s crazy, especially since Pete was known for having “happy feet”. I watched him run, and competed against him on numerous occasions, he was a nice dog, but nothing I’d get super excited about breeding to.... Dr Carter’s Emma dog is a really, really nice dog though. The Benelli O/U is an abomination IMO. Look at a proven O/U like a Beretta or Browning, or even a Miroku built gun. IMO, O/U’s should have a classic design.

Two groups of people in the gun dog world; Those who believe in a natural range that genetic and those who, more or less, do not. You will experience both opinions. I don’t buy it. If your even half way competent and can read a training book, or watch a video such as PS/PF, you can easily make those big runing “trial dogs” wonderful foot hunting dogs. The problem arises when a person wants a 30yard dog that they can shoot over when the dog bumps a bird. If that...

All age dogs are generally big running dogs. All age trials are done off of horseback. If you are a hunter that isn’t looking to trial you DO NOT want an all age dog. Where are you located? B.S.!!! No, I mean the mining companies. That is or should be part of every lease agreement. Allowing them to mine or timber on select parcels won't affect Colorado's hunting industry one cent. That is a foolish statement. Plenty of great land to hunt on in Co. It affected Colorado’s hunting industry from ...

You have to look at these things long term and not short term. Yes, the state leases and no trespassing signs go up. You can't have hunting vehicles challenging mining trucks for road right of way. The land is mined for several years or many years, the state makes money, the mines and the people th...

Anyone who thinks the states manage their land well has their head in the sand. The states can’t afford to manage the land so it either gets sold, or leased out to be exploited. I Elk hunted “state” land this year knowing full well some of it had been leased out for mining. What I didn’t know is tha...

Very few gunsmiths know anything about stock fitting. If you really like the gun, don't worry about resale and have it fit. If your not sold on the gun, sell it and move on to something that feels better in the standard configurations.

GFC is for dogs who have finished their FC, and then done the same in 1hr (Grand) stakes. Limited stakes don't add anything ontop of the FC unless they are 1hr limited stakes.

I'm a firm believer that birds only die when you hit them, they don't care what you hit them with. It's hitting them that's the problem with most shooters. The notoriously heavy triggers and varied POI of Turkish guns doesn't help when hitting birds.
