Be careful with racquetballs, according to our vet the slick surface makes them easier to swallow. Found that out after our Lab got a hold of one and swallowed it which required surgery. Lacrosse balls hold up pretty well and are larger, just don't throw them in the house....

I saw a noticable difference after a couple of days. After 7 to 10 days I didn't notice any symptoms.
Make sure you go through the entire treatment. Had a friend that stopped after two weeks because the dog was feeling better only to have it flare up again with much worse symptoms.

Have one that had her first season at 21 months and only came in once a year. When I talked to her breeder she said that was not uncommon for their line. They had one that was 26 months before her first season.

I would verify the registration if you plan on testing or try trialing. Continental Kennel Club papers don't seem to be hard to come by. Have seen them on puppies & dogs from "large scale" breeders.

My experience with Lyme is treat with Doxy with the first symptoms while waiting for the test results as they can take a few days. I saw a remarkable difference in 24 hours but kept her on it for a full 6 weeks. I've seen a couple of dogs taken off after 4 weeks only to have it flare up again.

I switched to the K-9 Komfort collars a while ago and really like them, also have a couple of the leashes. The price was right, they've held up really well, easy to clean and wanted color choices besides orange.
