Getting back to the original question, I know many people in the dog game and have never heard of a dog shutting down at three years of age due to early age pressure. I have seen dogs shut down due to pressure but not years after.

My dog's name is Otis and he has no problem distinguishing his name from whoa. I agree with the previous post, it's all in how you say it.

He is not a litter mate just a brother. His name is Keljers Otis and he will be 3 in April. I also do NAVHDA testing and have done his NA and UT tests and he has qualified for the 2009 Invitational. He has a very high prey drive (little bit of sharpness) but has the desire to please (very biddable) ...

I use my Griff for both water fowl and upland and he does fine with both. As mentioned earlier he doesn't crash the water like a Lab or the field like a short hair but that's how he was made.
