Re: Kansas NSTRA trials?
I try to run in the trials in Salina, Ks. They are only singles so it might not be as full. It is kinda nice for someone like me who is new to the game. The trials in Prescott and Topeka are doubles and draw a pretty big crowd.

Re: Dog Trailer
I pieced my trailer together as well. I bought a alumma brand ATV trailer from a local dealer for about $1200. The deck measures 7 ft wide by 8 ft long. I had another local guy that builds diamond plate dog boxes build me two boxes that were 4ft by 4ft each. Each box has 4 seperate holes. I mounted ...

If you guys are talking Elhew, how about Hanna's Elhew Lou. Even though she was not a trial dog, she produced some of the nicest Elhew dogs around. I know that from her breeding with Snakefoot, 1 or 2 pups became shooting dog champions, 1 was a walking dog champion, and the other was a 3X NSTRA Ch. ...

"bleep"'s Sporting Goods has a safe made by Stack-On that is real nice. It is fire lined and you can either put long guns on both the left and right sides of the divider, or you can put shelves for pistols on the right side. It is a lot less expensive than other safes that are not as nice. It think ...

Hey Jess, Valley Vet is good, but they are in Marysville,Ks which means you and I pay sales tax on top of shipping. I buy all my meds from lion country supply. I think the 5-way puppy shot is $3.99. I have been using them for several years and have not had any problems.

Straw in a heated whelping box
I have a litter of 9 that is five weeks old. I have moved the mother out so the pups are on their own. I have also moved the whelping pen out of the garage and into the kennel barn. The barn is open to the south only so it totally blocks the winter wind. Inside the box I have an allied heated mat an...

Jim and Matt Harris of Harris Kennels is planning a breeding for this spring between a direct son of Guard Rail and a double grand-daughter of Guard Rail. I don't think you can get much heavier than that within 3 generations.

It may not work real well where there is already a good source of food. If it goes on the ground, you have to worry about varmints getting in after the birds. Ideally, it goes on a rooftop where there is good supply of birds and not many other sources of food. Any kind of bird food will work. Until ...
