Re: Dog Doors

I have been using those doors for only a couple years and I don't really like them. If they are the best out there I would use them again, but I would like to find something else. I have never had a problem with raccoons or anything getting in a doghouse. It would take a pretty ballsy creature to cl...

I am going to be re-doing my kennel this spring and am looking for recommendations on dog doors. I will be having indoor and outdoor runs, and would like to make sure that I can keep the heat in, during the winter and the heat out during the summer.

Re: Running with a puppy?

Let the pup run as much as they want, let them explore whatever they want. It will be just fine. They could just as easily get hurt playing inside as they could running along side of you. I wouldn't stop running your dog. They need the excercise! They are dogs, not fine china.

What about putting a couple roading harnesses on your dogs, and let them pull you on a sled?  In all seriousness, could you come up with some rig that would staddle your seat, kind of like saddle bags but big enough for a dog box on each side to sit in, and then strap down securely? Honky Tonk Attitude dogs tend to run with a flat tail, but point with good style, and have incredible noses. As was stated earlier there wasn't a whole lot of consistency in his pups. That could have very well came from the females as well, since he was bred an awful lot. Some people really like the...

I agree with that comment that you need to find that female that if bred to a snake could produce birddogs. The only problem I see with that is, by the time you figure that out her pups are doubled in price or she's too old to produce anymore, or there is a waiting list a mile long.

I have seen 5 or 6 of these dogs from that particular cross, but different litters and they all have cookie cutter heads of eachother. I also like the blockier head on a dog, but with a dog like her you can't turn down the opportunity to have her in your kennel because of the shape of her head.
