zanfel is awesome but if you don't want to spend the $$$ you can use bleach and water (50-50) it works may take a day or two longer.

nice work, way to trust the dog. i did 2 this season sofar booth were train wrecks! not to mention the hacking i got about my dog. if i do anymore it will be my own and use it for pratcice for vgp.

i know what you mean, was doing the same thing but just started keeping some high brass in my training vest. not saying its rite but its a lot safer imo. i figure the amount of sinkers some of the fishermen loose a couple shots on a weekend cant hurt too bad.

have seen and herd of that many times, like you said thank god it wasnt 2'' higher. have seen it the most when doing duck searches.cannot beleave how much and far steel skips off the water,thats why i use led its not as bad. 3 guys that i train with got nailed will sure get your attetion.

depending on the dog the amount of birds they see or dont see. letting or alowing the the dog to catch birds. try to always use good flying birds,homers if you can get them. a lot of people tend to over do it with birds in the field, if the dog has worked 2-3 birds good QUIT dont keep going because ...

well put. couldnt agree more with what you said. instead of the tape i spraypainted a bunch of clouth pins blaze orange and use them to mark the trail clip them on the branches real easy to see when your getting off track.

if you could get the pig blood get it. yes blood is blood but i think some is better than others. was lucky enough to get quite a lot of elk blood was told its better than the others(hotter) . i would try to get hold of the nadkc guys in your area.

yes usaly its a pheasant. just remember your dog doesnt have to find or point the pheasant, they want to see the natural tracking ability of the dog.

what i have done in the past is take a pheasant tie it up around the wings with some heavy string and connect it in the middle of two checkcords. the two people can drag the the bird and hopefuly not leave a lot of sent. by that i mean the dog is tracking the bird not the people. make them short and...
