Re: really! (why trials should not be limited to a breed.)
I did not run, it was full....Was trying to find the running order but i think broke dog stakes had 10,11,12and 12 in theirs. With two courses should have been easy to make them majors. Its one of the closes trials to me so i would like to support it.

bb560m, you can make that number 10 with me and i know 3 others that were told trial was full. They could have had 4 majors in broke dog stakes.I was trying to run in 3 of the broke stakes. I was a little upset, as were alot of people needing a major that ran up there. Not a lot of happy peopleboth w...

Thanks guys and thank you Brenda for urging me to run him in trials. I think the best thing is getting to meet people at the trials and becoming friend. Andy , Chris and Bruce have all been good friends but would not have met any of you if not for trials. Thanks again and hope to see all of you soon....

Have a friend that uses them, has about 25 in callback. Rarely shoots any till end of a couple seasons then shoots all within a few weeks and starts all over with new birds. He says you have to start young with the recall but they will do it. I believe him since he always has them in a johnny house.

A friend of mine does a food line thru the fields and cut honeysuckle, plenty of cover on each side of food line for birds to hide. His cover count has gone from 12-15 per day to 17-23. Try finding hedge rows, fence rows and drainage ditches to hunt. Birds seem to hold better, also if he points , circle and work back toward dog as this will keep you from chasing him out to the end .Keep him out of the CRP if possible. If you have to work in the CRP, work towards the corners and that...
