I've used the Skid Plate before with my EP, but haven't in a couple of years. It did a pretty good job protecting her chest and most of her bellly area, but she was kind of in-between sizes at the time. Won't hurt to try one.

A good one is the Joan Bailey book, How to Help Gun Dogs Train Themselves. It's a start from puppyhood book that will get you headed in the right direction. Highly recommended!

I ended up paying $200 tax on a Fox my dad sent me for Christmas (good present, eh?). Shipped from MN to WA. Even tho it was a gift, I had to pay it.
