I use a Filson dog seat cover in my crew cab Ford. It works great.

Re: Water bowl/container ideas needed?

When I have dogs that constantly play in their water or try to destroy their buckets I totally remove the bucket from the kennel. All dogs get out for a run 3 times a day and water is available in the play area. I have one dog that wants to destroy her bucket now and will probably never have water i...

Re: update-canadae vs diamond natural

I've been feeding Canidae ALS to all of my 25 dogs for 2 years now. Also have raised 3 litters of puppies on it. I feed a 44lb bag every 2 days. When the formula changed I had a fair amount of loose stools for around half of my dogs. I did not see any change in their overall health or performance. I...

Re: Off The Ground Pup Kennels

Here is my Farmtek kennels. You could just build one run and put your whelping box in that run. I also have three Scott kennels. I like the Farmtek better.

Re: E-Collar Recommendation

I am also in the market for a new set of collars. For 20 years have always used Tritronics and like there stuff alright. I have an older set of 500's that have been the most reliable shock collars that I have ever used. The only thing I have had to do to them is replace the batteries. The most recen...

Re: Hunting in Montana for the average Joe?

Average Joe, Look into the Craig area between Helena and Great Falls. The Missouri River there is really good in the fall. You also have access to huns, sharptails and ditch parrots if you have low enough self esteem to hunt them. I have not hunted that area but I would bet there is some Block Manag...

Another thing you can add to the barrel is add a wood roof to it. I bet they will stay on top of it as much or more than in the barrel. I have some portable kennel with barrels in Texas. We put the wood roof on them and most of the dogs stay on top. Here is a video of those kennels. http://www.youtu...

Canidae's New Formula

I'm real happy with results I am getting feeding the new formula. Coat wise my dogs look better than they did eating the old formula. I just wrapped up my Montana guiding season and had no problems with the dogs endurance in the field. My hunting string for Montana is made up of 2 Labs and 10 Pointe...

Re: Turtleskin chaps

I have the Turtleskin Gaiters and they work well. I was guiding near Harlowtown, Montana and stepped on a buzz bomb and he struck me in the back of my calf. I had on the gaiters and they did their job. Had venom running down the back of my leg. Earlier that day we were in pursuit of a covey of huns ...

I'm with Windyhills on this. This is the only dog food company that this has ever happened to as far as I know. CR, If you had been unfortunate enough to have fed your string of dogs this bad batch and lost them all would you still be feeding it?

I have the Farmtek flooring. It is not very stout and has to be supported every 2 feet. You have to walk on the supports to clean it. Other than that I like it so far. I used it at the hunting camp I guide for in Northern Montana and only use those kennels September thru November.

I have 24 Pointers right now and figure 6-8 of them really like to eat poop. Doesn't matter if it is theirs or not. I have a exercise area that I let them out into 3 times a day and try to pick it up while I am out with them. I can't get it all picked up in time to keep the determined ones from gett...

Canidae

I was wondering if those feeding Canidae add anything to the food to boost the fat/protein when you are running your dogs hard. I switched from Pro Plan Performance since the price of it was almost as much as Canidae and Pro Plan is mostly corn. I know corn is fine but if I was going to spend that m...

Can you raise it off of the ground so he can't get to it? I have all of mine snapped to the fence a couple of feet off of the ground. The bucket I use are 6 qt so not as heavy as a 5 gallon bucket. Even though they don't pee in them I dump them and give them fresh water every day.

I build them myself for just a few dollars each. You could take the photo to a local welder and he could build you one for a lot less than ordering one.
