I've spoke with the breeder many time. I came real close to getting on of the A litter pups but the timing was wrong. In the mean time I got a DK but I will be really interest on how your pup turns out. I like the DD looks alot but the wife doesn't like the coat. I am happy with my DK so far though....

I am not sure what region, maybe Dixie. I spoke with one of the guys who was judging and he said he'd help me out on the retrieving part. I need to work on more than retrieving (like my shooting) but I had a blast. I figure by next fall when it kicks back up I may dive in.

I've got the SportDog 1200 and love it. I've never used the other one so I could not give an opinion. Another plus is SportDog is in your backyard. I had a button fall off my controler and they sent me a replacement next day mail. Very helpful.
