When will you people ever stop going to the 2nd amendament Never. Neither will I ever stop going to the 1st or the 4th or the 5th or the 10th or any other. The Bill of Rights (First 10 Amendments) was added to the Constitution because the Framers of the Constitution felt it imperative to spell out ...

Being a woman myself, I just have to say that I'm sorry she puts you through that. Don't feel guilty. Let her pout, and you just go and enjoy yourself. She'll either get over it or start coming along eventually. Or divorce him. Don't drive like my brother. Huh? Did you mean divorce her ? Just check...

Re: Women Shooters
My wife took gun safety when we were first married but now-a-days she's only interested in shooting me each time I make plans to go shooting or hunting with our sons, my brothers, sister-in-law and nephews. She's been invited to participate at the range and walk the fields with or without a weapon....

Gun registry is the first step of outlawing them and coming to your door to get them. No one needs to know if you own a gun or not in a free society. I dont suppose you saw the chart that was going around last week about how many more people are killed by doctor error than by careless gun ownership...

Do you give them rawhide chews. We were told that the compressed and granulated rawhide chews are safer than the regular kind because the granulated stuff breaks off into pieces too small to be a choking hazard, and the compressed doesn't flake apart as easily, either. I have used both of those kin...

Thought I'd share some new pics of our Britt, Catherine A.K.A. "Cat." She'll be 3 months old tomorrow. She sure is a lot of fun. She's very friendly and active. She loves to play in the back yard with our Airedale. I'm really looking forward to spring so we can spend more time outside, and take her ...

My vote is for the Beretta 391 Urika youth model in 20 ga. or the Beretta 3901 RL in 20 ga. I own a 391 in 20 ga. and I can shoot it all day long. I don't know how big your son is, but I'm 5'2" and 120 pounds. I own both of the above guns (except my 3901 is a 12 gauge) and with 7/8 oz. loads, there ...

Welcome to the forum. Like Helen said, we have an Airedale. He's 6 years old. My husband bought him and has trained him primarily as a fur dog. He's amazing on coyotes and rabbits. We have taken him pheasant hunting twice, and he can find the birds like crazy, and does point, but he has never been f...

I appreciate your suggestions. Our 12-week-old Brittany puppy pesters the crud out of our 6-y/o Airedale, too, and for the most part, he plays back. She's relentless though; she goes straight for his lips.  It's funny the way their play has evolved. At first, he was so gentle with and tolerant of her. Then he started...

Older dog regression
We are having a problem with our 6-y/o Airedale the last couple of weeks. He has not chewed on things for years, but now he is chewing on things he would have never given a second glance to. It started a few weeks after we brought our now 12-week-old Brittany; we have, of course provided her with ch...

Salt Lake Valley vet recommendation
Do any of you Utahns have a vet you can recommend in the Salt Lake area? My husband takes his Airedale to Bountiful because he works up there, but that's further than I want to drive. Right now, I'm just looking for a well-puppy visit and vaccinations, but would like to establish a relationship with...

Which check cord?
My Britt is now 8-1/2 weeks old and loves to run around the yard, so I am thinking now would be a good time to get her used to a check cord. Is it, or is it too early yet? What kind and length would be the best kind to start her out on?

My 3 older kids (ages 5, 7, and 8) love to go out and shoot the .22 rifles. We put the rifle on a rest and the kid on a chair, stand over them, reinforce safety rules, and they line up the red dot sight and pull the trigger themselves. My 8-y/o son got a pellet gun for his 7th birthday and he's an e...

You did it just fine. I do want to comment though on what you are calling problems. In a persons age she is like a one or two year old child. Okay, you're probably getting tired of me, but I'm at a loss. I have read that, when you are house training, you shouldn't allow potty breaks to turn into extended playtime. What I'm not sure of is where to draw the line. When I take Catherine outside, she will always urinate right away, and will so...
