Anytime after 6 months is perfectly normal for a female to go into heat. Just keep her away from male dogs and keep the diaper on and you should be fine. Normally it lasts 21-28 days. They are pretty well across the USA and are geared toward retrievers but even us with pointing breeds can run in HRC if we want.

We actually just by Diapers. Cut a whole for the tail and slap them on. It really isn't that hard to keep it clean :0) Good luck!

I didn't read the entire responses here but we changed from Nutro to the Diamond Naturals High Energy. LOVE IT! Great ingredients and our dogs do FANTASTIC on it. We have not noticed any gasiness. Hope you like it as much as we do!

Thanks Jen. Once we do her CERF yes she will be able to get her CHIC number. Which is great! I will keep you all posted on the scoring of her hips. I think it is fun to look back on the x-rays and see what they end up scoring.

Our girl has already had her CD testing done along with her OFA Cardiac by a cardiologist. Just took her in today to have Hips, elbows and thyroid done. We did another weekend of jumping this weekend and Phoenix got better and better as the weekend went. She placed 1st or 2nd in her division in each jump(wave) and then went on to take 1st in the Semi Pro division with NEW PERSONAL BEST jump of 22'8"! And this was teh 3rd best jump of the ENTIRE week...

For our dogs this is part of them working for a living. We have sponsors for this and showing along with weight pull competitions. Hunting is of utmost importants but so far sponsors have not been interested in that. So we keep that just our personal fun.

The material used to cover the dock is not regular AstroTurf. It does not get slippery at all! We have never had a dog slip. Our APBT's are pretty well accepted at events. Sorry I didn't see this thread come back up! This was last year 2009 that this happened. She had been put on Clavamox and it cleared right up. No true answer to what exactly it was. Hard to say for sure. It never did come back.

Yeah Tundra won't be my one who I would use. She has probably a negative number in body fat and a VERY thin coat. :-)
