I had a picture of my dog on point blown up to life size. I cut it out and glued it to a sheet of plywood and trimmed the plywood around the picture. I made a stand for it out of wood blocks. From a distance people think its a real dog. it works and is easy.

10 months seems young to already have been with 2 trainers. What you are about to do is the right thing. Lots of people let them just happy run for the first year with no pressure. I let them run and chase a full year with no pressure and then start to break them.

Purple cattle tags at tractor supply. Cut them in half about a $1 each. They last one year. So cheap I change them about every 4 months. Good for ticks too.

I use Hound heater in indoor compartments about that size. There is a thermostsat on the hound heater and it mounts on the wall. It keeps the box warm but not hot. The dogs will stay outside if it is to warm. Once I found the temp they like they stay inside.

I think it depends where you hunt. If you hunt the small preserves on then east coast a good trial dog would go through them very fast. You seem to be doing well with your dog and its nice to support clubs however don't forget you cant control the other dog. Your dog is young and doing well how will he take it when he is with unsteady dogs who may chase or catch birds in front of him. You could do a lot of harm.
