DO NOT use Biospot! It nearly killed one of my dogs and made another lay around and not be able to run for days. I was trying to save a buck. I'm still trying to save a buck, but not on those products. I buy the 89-123 # frontline plus. Then inset a sringe in the tip and withdraw 1/3. One vile lasts...

Re: Browning Superposed - 1969

I think Browning's salt wood problems began to emerge in 1966, and continued until 1972. Most experts have never seen a long tang salt gun, and therefore believe that almost 100% of the salt guns had short tangs. Browning (FN) bought salted stocks as well as unsalted stocks but did not keep track.

My field gun is a Ithaca (SKB) 28 gauge. You'd have to pry my cold /stiff hands off of it to get it away from me. I also owned a SKB 20 gauge model 500 (same gun- diferent gauge) The 20 weighed a bunch more and didn't balance out anything like the 28 does. All the "more material in the monoblock/mor...

Issues with the Garmin Astro w/ the DC30

Anybody have issues with the Garmin Astro w/ the DC30. Mine wasn't acting right the other day. It would show the dog @ 400+ yards when she was 30. And would show 30 when she was a couple of hundred. I charged the collar till the blue light went out. And fresh batteries in the receiver. Wondering if ...

Didn't go this weekend because of the wind and the fact that I had to get my last 60#'s of venison made into salami and in the smoker. I did hunt last wednesday. We worked 4 (yes 4) covies of one farm and 1 covey each on 2 other farms. Two of us hunting and we managed 2 limits (16). Only saw 2 Pheas...

I know that the populations are no where near the "haydays". But there are still quite a few birds if you hunt the right places. We hunted Pheasants opening day close to home. 3 of us limited out in a couple of hours. I have hunted another farm close to that one once and shot 4 birds and hunted the ...

Karen, it's not the gun that is your problem...it's the gauge. Get a 28 auto that fits you and you'll be fine. As stated earlier, the franchi is a good one. Also the remington 1100 in 28. I carry a 28 95% of the time in the field. Over pointing dogs it's all you need to knock 'em down. Don't try to ...

yard work on a check cord ...reel her in with a froze quail in her mouth. Don't try to take it from her. Just let her hold it and praise her. After a while give her the drop command and give her a pinch on the rear flank. She will drop it in hand. You can do the same with a ball or toy or stick.
