I have always appreciated the help I have received in this forum.
I do agree versatile Hunting Dog Forum isn't what it once was.

Re: Help with new springer spaniel puppy
Thanks for the advice. I will try it out. He’s house trained at this point. Took longer then I expected. Still counter surfing but I will try your suggestions. Let's assume the pup does not have an infection, though that certainly may be a possibility. What do you do to correct him when he pee's ins...

Re: Help with new springer spaniel puppy
Let's assume the pup does not have an infection, though that certainly may be a possibility. What do you do to correct him when he pee's inside? I don't let it go unpunished. I will yell NO! when he squats, grab him by the scruff of the neck, pick him up, and put him outside, commanding Outside!, O...

Re: Help with new springer spaniel puppy
Thanks.
I am likely just having unrealistic expectations considering my experience with my Golden.
He was housetrained almost immediately, and definitely doesn’t counter surf.
I probably just got lucky with him.

Help with new springer spaniel puppy
Hi I have my first springer spaniel. Four months of pure energy. Very little to complain about. Completely fearless. Loves water. Already doing basic retrieves. Gets along really well with my Golden. The two of them are constantly wearing themselves out by play fighting I have a strong feeling he’s ...

ISO of Blind Stakes
Hi I have bought a bunch of camo fabric and want to make a couple of my own holding blinds. The one I currently use is super light and uses PVC pipe with a metal ground stake. THe PVC I can deal with but I have been unsuccessful in finding something similar online. Anyone know where something simila...

Re: Older Dogtra RRD transmitter
Hi I followed your suggestions. I also took out my multimeter to make sure the battery was good and that things were charging. No corrosion anywhere on the small motherboard board. I happened to find an old school, electronics technician who likes a challenge and who’s troubleshooting my transmitter...

Older Dogtra RRD transmitter
Hi I picked up an older Dogtra RRD transmitter and two receivers. Well they’re not working. I thought the transmitter battery was dead but I purchased a new one and the set is still not working. I can see the red light on both the transmitter and receiver’s glow when they are being charged. When I p...
