Crosswind Truckin Fritz was at one time the winningest Shorthair in NSTRA history. AKC does not put NSTRA titles on pedigrees so you have to look them up differently. Fritz is 3rd gen on one of the pedigrees. After you get much further than that, its pretty diluted. Fritz was 100% bird dog.

The biggest thing is picking the right litter and it sounds like you have already done that. Now the pup comes down to your feeling. Once you get pup home, they will be like a sponge, soaking in everything you put out.

I've recently gotten Homing Pigeons from a couple of different flock. A mix of young birds and older ones. I have banded the older ones as prisoners and will not let them fly. How long do yall usually leave the birds in your coop before teaching them to enter the door and eventually let them fly?
