I see this as quite confusing for the dog. You want him to heel some of the time but not all of the time. My opinion is that when the dog is on a lead and going for a walk he should be at heel 100% of the time. I don't see what's so confusing about it for the dog. The not pulling shouldn't be a com...

Walking Bird Dog on Lead

I'm trying to make some decisions on the best way to train my GSP to walk on a lead. He's young and likes to pull, to the point that it aggravates me. We've worked on heel and he's improving, but we live in town and some days we don't have time to train and it's just walking through the neighborhood...
