Steve your dog looks real simlair to what I saw, 'cept the hair and feathering was more flat then curly. But head shape seems to be simliar.

Heck it coulda been a "heintz 57" dog for all I know.

Re: a black English Setter?

Might have been. I always thought the flat coats where a thick dog like a lab. This one was thinner framed, I may be way of base here, as I'm no dog expert for sure.

Dog's tail was high on point, both front legs on ground and leaning forward. Looked real sharp in point.

a black English Setter?

I was out to a local bird preserve and seen what looked like an english setter. Dog was solid black from what I could see, standing on edge of field like I was. The dog's head was shaped like an E.S., had the leg and tail "feathering" like an E.S. Guess it coulda been a Gordon, I couldn't see any br...

I would think using the CC would come in handy here. In side a large pen or yard, using the CC to teach sit or "HUP" on flush. Inside a fenced area so you can "recycle" the rabbit. Maybe use a bird launcher with a weaken spring so as not to fling the rabbit sky high when launched...:P) I too am trai...

Do folks that own Boykins use e-collars in their training? If so, what ones do you use? I have a trionics 100 pro exp G2 that I used with Dutchess, seems a little big and clumbersome to use on little Sally.

Any advice? thanks,

As for your situation, not enough info to know what to advise. Three months later with the dumbbell? Meaning the dog is how old now? Re: Pigeon Coop Floor

I do same thing as H20wlkillr
I use straw over the dirt floor in mine. As it becomes soiled, I just add another layer of straw. When it reaches a depth of ~12" I scoop it out , heavily lime the dirt to kill pathogins and lay new straw.
makes for some good garden mulch for the missus.
