Re: Socialization prior to vaccinations
Thanks for the reply. I do have access to a decent amount of land but its all public (think hiking trails, etc). I guess what I’m trying to ask is how cautious do I need to be prior to her being fully vaxed? I initially thought very low traffic areas would be fine but the Vet is making me second gue...

Socialization prior to vaccinations
Hey there - I have a 10 week old American Brittany pup that has only had her first round of vaccinations. She will get her second round next week and her third/final round roughly 3 weeks after that. We have been doing some light obedience work and crate training - to which she has been doing really...

Brittany Color and Breeding
Hey there - I’m relatively new to Brittanys and had a quick question about breeding and the color of the offspring. Without bringing French brittanys into the mix, is there a way to predict the color of the litter? If both of the parents are Orange and white, then will all the pups be orange and whi...

Re: Advice for a new owner
Sharon and slistoe, thank you for the reply The pup would be in a crate during working hours so barking could be an issue with the neighbors. In your experience, how long does the barking while in a crate last? My family must have been lucky with their labs, as the barking was almost non-existent. I...

Advice for a new owner
I’m looking to pick up my first Brittany pup in the coming year and could use some advice. I am an avid hunter and outdoorsman but have never owned a dog myself. I am semi-familiar with retrievers as my dad competed in NAHRA events with our chocolate labs when I was growing up. I understand retrieve...

Greetings to all
Hey everyone - I’ve been a long time lurker but I’d like to get my first dog this year so I figured I’d join the community. I am originally from the northeast and was raised hunting ducks and geese with my family’s chocolate labs. Thanks for having me and I look forward to contributing to the conver...
