I have a wpg that doesn't handle the heat the best and i'm thinking about putting boots on her because of grass awns and i was wondering if the boots are going to make her handle the heat even worse?

I know you really like the shorthairs but black and white pointers are pretty easy to find with that kind of range. But i would also think that with as many shorthair breeders as there is you should be able to find a good one.

If you mostly going to be dove and duck hunting, a boykin spaniel might be a good choice. I don't own one but i'm sure someone on here could give you some info.

I didn't mean to bring down anybodies breeding program and i have no problem with breeders who say they are building their programs off of the elhew program but claiming to be breeding elhew dogs is a different thing all together. I didn't mean to offend anybody.

I see more elhew pointers in the woods than any other lines but that can probably said about foot hunters everywhere. what we have to remember is alot of breeders are saying there dogs are elhew breed and when you look at the pedigree there are only a couple of elhew dogs in 4 generations. where as ...
