8 yr old black TWH field trial and trail gelding. $2,200

Black has done it all. He is woman safe and has been used to scout and handle several dogs into the winners circle. He has been used as a judges horse as well. there is a way to make your own "remote" launchers.They are more user freindly than fumbleing with a string while your dog is lookin for the bird, go to the HOME page and look it over

There is a guy in youre local NSTRA club with last name Christiansen, that will need to come to Colorado to pick up a dog he had FF. Maybe that will help. Not for a few weeks though

This is a good post for all new puppy owners to read, puppys are just like babies, they need time to be young and bold, then when they are ready you "break em down" just enough to bring em back up stronger then before. Not harsh but show em another world they never new. :idea:

if it were me I would put those birds on top of your pen every day for a couple weeks so they can see there surroumdings, just for a few hours in the evening then train them to go through the bobs back into the coop, I tried the first way and it didnt work, I even waited 6 weeks, use a wire cage on ...

Thanks folks!!! I am assuming you administer it just like a parvo vaccine eh? I was just at the vet getting them tested for the hw's and the vet said it (ivomec) can be used but you have to do it everyday. Is she crazy?What ia the shelf life?

today I was running the dogs and came across the biggest rattler I ever saw, and I am no newbi to the terrain. What do you guys do to keep your dogs away from them. Obedience doesnt help if your not right there with them

heights is no problem I do concrete for a living, I just checked my traps and I got birds all over the place, (only 3 in the trap) but more to come :lol:

I tried the bridge way it got pretty western with 10 birds flyin at you. It was a little bit to light still but you talk about fun. I'm goin again tonight

from personal experience gsp's are great family dogs as well as and they give you a chance to catch up. As long as you socialize them to areas and people early and often. I take it you just want a hunting companion. Give it a year or so to be a pup and check this site and many others as much as poss...

se idaho has a few places to train n ot sure about number of birds as its been a while since i lived there, but all around chesterfield resorvoir in lava hot springs has great bird habitat. and the fishing is way better there to

well i'm not "following" a specific regiment, I pry his jaw open command fetch and then hold and tap his jaw and repeat hold. He is 15 months and a hunting dog, I mostly want the style. I'm learning as I go. Trying to read the dog a bit not be to hard on him

Force Fetching a lab

im ffn my first lab. I am on day 4 and he will hold on command but wont take on fetch. I know this can be a process, and will come together eventually. Just curious for some helpful input, my biggest question is how I will associate this conditioning with the field.

what do you mean by full registration? Another route you could go is to give referals to other kennels. You shouldnt expect everyone to have our same high aspirations for there dog. I understand your point but understand others also.
